Privacy Policy
How this independent review site handles information about the people who read it.
Current sponsor offerWhat happens when you read a review here?
Suppose you open a review of Doto on this site, read a few paragraphs, and then fill in the contact form to ask a question about something you read. That single visit already involves some information: the pages you opened, the approximate region your connection comes from, the browser you used, and whatever you choose to type into the form. We keep the amount of information small on purpose, because the site exists to publish editorial reviews, not to build profiles of its readers.
More generally, this site is an independent editorial resource that reviews the broker Doto for readers in India. It is not the broker, it is not affiliated with the broker, and it does not offer financial services, accounts, deposits or advice. Any information described in this policy is handled only so that the site can be published, kept secure, and used to answer readers who write to us.
Why is any information processed at all, and where does it go?
The legal basis for processing is your consent where you give it, for example when you send a message through the contact form, and the legitimate interest of running and protecting an editorial website in the ordinary course of publishing. We do not process information for purposes beyond that.
The servers that host this site and its backups are located outside India, and the service providers who help run the site may therefore process technical information in other countries. Those recipients are limited to hosting, security and site-operation providers acting on the site's behalf. Where information leaves India, it is protected by the contractual terms those providers offer, and only the minimum needed to keep the site online is involved.
Is information about children collected?
No. This site is written for adults who are considering a broker, and it is not directed at children. Readers under 18 should not use the contact form or send personal information to the site. If we learn that information about a child has reached us, we delete it.
Who sees the information, and who is it never sold to?
Information is shared only with the hosting, security and site-operation providers described above, and with anyone whom the law requires us to inform. It is never sold, rented, or traded to the broker Doto, to any other broker, to advertisers, or to data brokers. The site carries no affiliate arrangement with the broker it reviews, and reading a review here does not create an account with anyone.
We do not use the information to market products to you, and we do not pass contact details to third parties for their own marketing. If you write to us, your message is seen by the people who maintain this site and is used to reply to you and to keep a record of editorial correspondence.
What can you ask us to do, and how long is information kept?
You can ask what information about you is held, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, or object to a particular use. You can make any of these requests through the contact form on this site, and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. If you believe a request has not been handled properly, you can complain to the data protection authority that applies to you.
Contact messages and the records connected to them are kept only as long as needed to answer the query and to keep an ordinary editorial record, after which they are deleted. Technical logs from hosting and security are kept for a short period sufficient to detect and investigate problems, and are then removed. Information that must be retained to meet a legal obligation is kept only for the period that obligation requires.
